War Horse

The National Theatre of England’s acclaimed production (New London Theatre). A number of Puppets with Guts company members and associates including Ivan Thorley, Caroline Bowman, Dominic Leeder, Sam Clark, Laura Cubitt, Tom Wilton, Abigail Matthews and Robin Guiver, have worked as horse puppeteers in previous productions.

Newman, the robot, has teamed up with Paul McCartney for his new music video 'Appreciate'. The video was directed by Andre Chocron and filmed in London in 2014. Newman was designed by Mervyn Millar and Ed Dimbleby for Significant Object, with puppeteers Mervyn Miller, Henry Maynard, Ross Green and Ivan Thorley.

The Magic Flute

The Bregenz Festspiele presents ‘The Magic Flute’ in 2013 on the world’s largest floating stage in Bregenz, Austria. Directed by David Pountney and puppetry direction by Blind Summit, with puppeteers Ivan Thorley and Caroline Bowman, the ‘Three Ladies’ (Dames) are transformed into opera singing puppets riding large dragon birds.

The Table

Moses is a cankerous two foot high puppet, with a cardboard head, who lives on a table. And he's got a problem. All he ever gets asked to perform is fairy tales or children's birthday parties, and he's fed up with it. He's an artist! He's a serious puppet! So tonight the table is his and anything can happen...
